Monsoon Cup 2009

The Monsoon Cup is a yacht race held in Terengganu. The tagline for the race is: “You wouldn’t want to miss it.”
Yes, it’s that exciting!
The Monsoon Cup was first initiated by former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to promote Terengganu. The former Prime Minister thought that the monsoon season should be used as an advantage rather than being seen as a disaster. After the initiation, the first Monsoon Cup was held in 2005.
The Monsoon Cup is the tenth and final event on the World Match Racing Tour 2009. 12 of the best match racing teams will meet at Pulau Duyong, Terengganu from 2 to 6 December 2009 to race for the highest prize in the world, RM1 million. Once again the battle for the championship trophy will see the top sailing teams in the world pitting their skills against each other in the last leg of the tour.
Want to be a part of it? We will let you know how soon. Do stay tuned with us to find out how.
Party “Glim & Glam”-ourous

Firefly Night 2009 was held last Thursday, 5th November 2009 at The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur. It is the 2nd annual dinner for Firefly Airlines. The night is to celebrate the hardship and dedication of all Firefly staffs over the years. Around 250 staffs from administration office, cabin crew, engineering, ground operations and call centre attended the dinner.
The staff was served with 10 course Chinese dinner. Performance by staff such as singing and dancing showed us the other side of them. However, the night was at its grand central when the everly famous, Paperdolls performed. Their sky-high heels, exaggerated sexy costumes and overpowering perfumes excite and entertained the crowd the whole night out.
Some awards have also been given out but the other highlight of the night was the lucky draw which consists of 4 Plasma and LCD TV. The lucky ones who grab those TVs can now I guess start recruiting their members to watch the World Cup next year.
Enough said, let’s have a look at some photos here.
