KUALA LUMPUR: Holiday-makers can now book special packages to international destinations on budget airline Firefly’s new online travel portal Firefly Holiday.

Firefly Holiday head Lau Yin May said customers can choose their flight time, hotels and optional transfers and tours via Firefly’s licensed ground-handlers.

“Firefly Holiday has the capability to suit everybody’s holiday needs,” she said after the launch of the portal here yesterday.

The hotels listed were screened beforehand, she added.

Firefly Holiday and Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will be promoting in-bound flights on the portal.

“There will also be a wider distribution network of products that will cater to customers and their needs,” said MAS senior general manager of sales and marketing Datuk Bernard Francis.

Firefly Holiday, a subsidiary of Firefly, has been in operation since March 2008 but it offered flights and packages only to Firefly destinations — Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.

Now, it offers packages to over 100 Firefly and MAS destinations.

In conjunction with the portal’s launch, Firefly Holiday is also offering special packages to Seoul, Beijing, London, the Maldives, Japan, Istanbul, Sydney and Siem Reap
